Best Obama Song | Obama Be Thy Name | Makadem

This music video was brought to my attention by a friend and I was deeply touched. It is a reggae Afro-fusion song sung by the Kenyan singer, Makadem and is called "Obama Be Thy Name."

I'm always moved when I hear about Kenyan's cheering on Obama. Obama's father was Kenyan and I cannot imagine the pride that Obama must bring to the Kenyan people as he offers them hope and inspiration.

In the song singer Makadem urges Americans from all 50 states of every race to vote for Obama in the '08 presidential election. The singer references to Martin Luther King Jr in the civil rights movement when he sings "I have a dream." He references to Obama's main campaign theme of change as he sings "If you're voting for the real change, Obama be the right man."

In the video voters of all races receive ballots and vote. After submitting their ballots they are seen dancing together. Enjoy - and Support Obama!
